IBM WebSphere® DataPower® Virtual ESB (DPV-ESB) Platform

The WebSphere DataPower Virtual ESB (DPV-ESB) Platform from HHG is a fully virtualized Service Gateway and Enterprise Service Bus that provides incredible agility in provisioning development and test environments for new and existing DataPower customers.
HHG has enabled DPV-ESB on the IBM® PureApplication System. IBM PureSystems is a new class of expert integrated systems, which combine the flexibility of a general-purpose system with the elasticity of cloud and the simplicity of an appliance tuned to a workload — fundamentally changing the experience and economics of IT. IBM PureApplication, an offering in IBM PureSystems, is a platform system designed and tuned specifically for transactional web and database applications. This workload-aware, flexible platform is designed to be easy to deploy, customize, safeguard and manage.
With the introduction of IBM WebSphere DataPower Virtual Editions (DPVE), IBM customers have the option of deploying both physical and virtual DataPower Service Gateways and integration infrastructure on IBM Expert Integrated Systems. HHG's DPV-ESB Platform provides a set of best-practice Virtual System Patterns that incorporate DataPower VE, WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR – for service governance and Policy management), and the WebSphere Appliance Management Console (WAMC).
DataPower customers, using the HHG DPVE enabled on PureApplication System, receive a pre-integrated pattern that deploys as a virtual system in minutes, in comparison to similar physical topologies/environments that often take our customers months to operationalize. These environments help our DataPower customers automate much of the migration process from older to newer appliance model types and firmware versions, as well as providing a fully functional, virtual SDLC environment for refactoring/optimizing existing DataPower service proxies (e.g., exposing SOAP endpoints as RESTful services, using WS-MediationPolicy for policy architectures, etc.).
